For the final chapter, we ended things with family, Abby Albino.
Along with being a co-founder of RISE Tribe, Abby is the Head of Business & Brand Strategy at Canada Basketball and Co-Founder of MAKEWAY, North America’s first and only sneaker boutique for women + completely run and funded by women.
During our chat, Abby spoke with our leaguers about the following:
- How she and her co-founder, Shelby Weaver, Makeway challenged the sneaker industry and created a space that prioritized women
- How RBL and its leaguers can challenge the golf industry to create space for golfers like us
- MAKEWAY’s community and their potential interest in golf and women’s golf products
Pre-Round
Prior to the round, we decided to do things a little differently and hosted a content shoot at the range to focus on the latest and stylish fits of our leaguers.
The Round
Our leaguers returned to Royal Ontario Golf Club for the final round. With the championship wrapped up, the focus was more on second place, with the opportunity to represent RBL at Golf Canada’s National Golf League (NGL) qualifier at The Nest Golf Club.
During our final round, our leaguers got to test out Red Rooster’s rain gloves and drinks, which were provided courtesy of our friends at Michelob Ultra Canada.
